FINCA - Finnish Centre for Astronomy with ESOFINCA practises and co-ordinates Finnish high quality research in fields of astronomy with European Southern Observatory (ESO) and promotes technological development work related to ESO. It participates in research training and promotes co-operation of Finnish universities in astronomy. FINCA operates in the premises of Tuorla Observatory - the astronomy unit of the University of Turku. See 'About FINCA' for more information and maps how to reach the FINCA premises. This web site serves as a platform for FINCA activities, a means of communication for FINCA community and Finnish astronomers working in fields related to ESO, and a publicity channel to promote the work done by FINCA and ESO and advertise their achievements in astronomical research. The Finnish FINCA pages are directed more to the general public, while the English pages are meant primarily for the scientific community. |
